I started sewing and crafting when I was 5, sitting on the floor beside my mom and grandmother, sewing fabric scraps around my Barbie dolls. I graduated to buttons, and then the sewing machine. By the time Home Ec rolled around in grade 8, I had a level of proficiency that allowed me to make something more advanced than boxer shorts or a pillow case.

Over the years, my sewing machine has been well used, or collecting dust, just depending on where I’m at in life. Sometimes my kitchen distracts me.

I love all kinds of crafting. I knit, and crochet, make stuff. All stuff. And I love it!

I’m married, we have a little boy, he’s 3 1/2. He’s so much fun, and also provides much distraction. Baby #2 is on the way, which seriously limits the amount of energy I have at the end of the day. Working full time doesn’t allow me to craft as much as I want. But, it all gets done! Eventually…

I’ve recently joined the blogging community, and am slowly getting posts up. My problem is that, for every project actually in progress, there’s another 4 or 10 bouncing around my head. And I do like to sleep sometimes.

I love that I can make my own clothes. And clothes for my family. And gifts for everyone. And, hopefully, one day I’ll actually finish all of my projects!
